After waiting an hour for our meals, we were disappointed to discover that the chicken was so overcooked it was nearly inedible. All four of us chose chicken dishes—one ordered the chicken Caesar salad, another had the grilled chicken sandwich, and the third selected the chicken cheese steak. Unfortunately, they all featured the same dry, overcooked chicken. To add to the frustration, three out of the four orders were incorrect: two had the wrong cheese, and one came with chips instead of fries. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly.
I don't often give out 5-star ratings, but I truly love a good local pub, and this one is fantastic. We just stopped in for drinks while passing through on our way home. The bartenders were wonderful—very friendly and attentive. The regulars were singing the praises of the food as well. I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with a friend this evening. The grilled chicken salad with balsamic dressing was outstanding, and the homemade chili was also fantastic. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and provides excellent service, with everything being freshly made and delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rockaway. I truly love this spot!
I discovered this hidden gem on Yelp, and I couldn't be more thrilled! I ordered a burger, fries, and freshly made chicken soup, and everything was amazing! Each dish was perfectly prepared—the burger bun was outstanding, which is not something you hear every day. The decor reminded me of charming old taverns, and I loved it!
