I had the opportunity to visit Smitty's before they closed for the summer. They had a dedicated clam guy who was shucking fresh clams, and he generously let me try one. It was incredibly fresh and quite different from oysters, but definitely worth experiencing. The white clam chowder was excellent—creamy, filled with chunks of clam, and probably the best I’ve had so far. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5!
