Our waitress appeared to be quite busy throughout our visit. We requested water, but it only arrived after we had to flag her down for a second time. She also didn’t come across as very friendly. Additionally, she didn’t inquire about our rewards program information, so I missed out on credit for this meal. On a positive note, the food was excellent, and it was a nice place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I’m curious about why the reservation asks for the occasion; I mentioned the birthday, but there was no acknowledgment of it at the restaurant.
Food was great as usual. Our server was subpar. She neglected our table and when she did come around she was unpleasant like she didn’t want to be there. She commented that they “tripled up her tables” or something to that effect. While ever other server had a smile she was frowning and scornful. It was unfortunate. We would have we enjoyed our experience much much better at a different table or at least with a different server. However the food was great!
Difficult to find someone to seat you. The food service was fast, almost too fast. We had our appetizers almost five minutes before our drinks showed up. Pulled pork nachos were passable but nothing special. Our main course was a “special” of babyback ribs. They were terrible, dried out, over cooked, with bbq sauce poured over the top. Menu was very limited you would think that what they did have would have been well prepared. Not so much.
We were very warmly welcomed here with our small dog. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was attentive, friendly, and all around wonderful! We will absolutely be back next time we’re in Newport.

Incredible ribs and brisket! The smoked house BBQ sauce is exceptional! I enjoyed a fantastic meal with lightning-fast service, friendly staff, and delicious cocktails!
Service was great. Food was average chicken and ribs were a little dry and doused with sauce. Overall, it’s Newport your paying for the area code not the wings
The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was delicious. I will definitely return.
Both the food and service were very good. Definitely will visit again when they open again next spring.
