Don't let the interior fool you. The food is great ! Went there because we want them to cater our wedding. The owners couldn't be nicer or more helpfulgoWe had them cater our wedding and have to admit their food stole the show A lil bit. Slavco the owner attention to detail is just amazing and so kind. Everyone is still talking about how good the food was. We had the brisket, pulled chicken and pulled pork and all the sides except beans. The Mac and cheese was so good we should have order 2 trays. So if you want ppl talking about the good bbq at your event and the best server in Chicago definatily go with Smoking Joe's. My husband and I enjoyed some incredible BBQ nights here. They were definitely the best we've ever had! The sweet BBQ sauce was absolutely delicious too. We discovered this gem on Google while visiting the Chicago area for shopping. It was worth the 10-mile drive to dine here! There aren't many seats, but we visited on a Sunday at noon and had no trouble finding a spot. It seems like most of the nearby shops were busy. You won’t regret choosing this place!

This is a fantastic mom-and-pop BBQ spot! Restaurants like this contribute to making Chicago the best food city in America. Everything here is delicious; I’ve tried all the BBQ sauces, and they’re all wonderful. While it’s primarily a BBQ place, they also offer some incredible chicken wings at a great price. I actually prefer their wings over places that specialize solely in wings! I really hope this restaurant stays around forever!

A hidden gem! This barbecue spot is absolutely delicious. I love supporting independent local restaurants, and this one is really thriving! The meats are fantastic, the BBQ sauce is mouthwatering, and the fries and jalapeño beans are incredible! Their wings are spot on as well. You can’t beat the great food for a great price. A really great mom and pop BBQ place. Places like these is what makes Chicago the best Food city in America! Everything is good, I have had all the bbq sauces and they are ALL delicious. This is a BBQ place but they have some AMAZING chicken wings for a good price also. I prefer their chicken wings to places that only do wings! I Hope this place is around forever!

Family Art Essen is a fantastic spot! The food is outstanding, and you definitely shouldn't miss the fries—they're made fresh to order. I've never had a bad duck dish there. Yes, there's a wait for your food, but that's just the trade-off for fresh ingredients instead of frozen ones. It's a casual dining experience and a fun place to be. Give it a try!

I haven't visited in a year or two, but I used to go here frequently with a friend. It's definitely one of the best BBQ spots in the area. Since I just started a new job nearby, I'll be able to enjoy Smokin' Joe's much more often during my lunch breaks. I highly recommend Smokin' Joe's—10/10!

Amazing food! The meat was incredibly tasty, and I really enjoyed the mac and cheese as well as the freshly made fries. Their sweet tea was also fantastic. The customer service was outstanding. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be returning! Reserva una mesa ahora

Well the pork and brisket were very tender and good but we could not taste one hint of smoke flavor. No dry rub spice flavor.No chard pieces. The beans and Mac and cheese were very good. I will go back and try the burnt ends.

When I first came here, invite me and I loved it. Tacos al Pastor are delicious. All are very friendly.
