This amazing BBQ restaurant is located within the American Legion in Highlands, NJ. You don't have to be a member of the Legion to enjoy their food. They serve a fantastic selection of BBQ dishes, complemented by sides such as coleslaw, fries, cornbread, and more. You can choose to eat inside, outside, or at the bar. If you're fond of the beach, you might want to get takeout and savor your meal at Sandy Hook beach, which is only a short drive away. Additionally, they adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
We placed an order for four on a Saturday afternoon, and the food was outstanding. Brian was quick to respond to our questions, making the whole ordering process seamless. We had the option to choose from four different meats, plus a variety of their tasty fries. To my delight, we also got Brussels sprouts that were incredible, along with cornbread. This is by far the best BBQ I've ever tasted! They have implemented a safe social distancing plan for pick-up, and there's also an outdoor dining area available!
