I turned up on my bike and luckily they had had a cancellation so myself my partner and 2 children sat down for their pizza night. What a fluke this was! Lovely staff, fab location and gorgeous pizzas!! Saying a pizza is gorgeous is a statement but I love flavours and a great base and this was 10/10. I doubt you’ll be as lucky as me as they were fully booked and sadly had to turn away countless people so please give them a call. So worth a visit! Perhaps you could coerce them into making you a takeaway whilst sitting on the beach and looking at the gorgeous bay. If you are nearby trust me you are guaranteed some great food. Located just off the coastal path, halfway between Looe and Polperro, you'll find the Smugglers Rest. This charming spot is perfect for a break, whether you're a smuggler or not! The beer is refreshing and the food is reasonably priced, fresh, and hearty. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming, and even their dog is a delightful addition to the atmosphere. Plus, it seems that dogs are welcome here too! If you're hiking along the coast, be sure to stop by for a warm and inviting rest at the Smugglers Rest.
We booked in for BBQ night the day before returning home from our holiday. We were asked to pre book to ensure we got what we wanted. We all really enjoyed our meals. Extremely good quality produce used, cooked to perfection! The setting is so beautiful. All staff were extremely friendly. Especially the new lady who had only been there a couple of days (from Leeds originally). We would recommend to anyone. This is a destination not to be missed if you are in the area. Amazing discovery. Visited this restaurant a few times while staying at Talland Bay. The staff were friendly, the location was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. We were fortunate enough to reserve a table for Pizza Night, and it was an outstanding experience. The pizza was possibly the best I've ever had. Visited The Smugglers Rest while touring around southern Cornwall stopping to visit Talland Bay. Nice cafe with lots of outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Had a huge Cornish pasty that was piping hot. I understand they hv a no crockery cutlery policy (Covid) but it was so hot that it made it very difficult to eat. A very pretty setting which is undoubtedly it’s USP.
Very disappointed. Extremely over priced. £17 for literally 4oz of tasteless beef on a stick . Frozen chips thrown in fryer . Was expecting so much more for the price . Wife and son had Brisket beef which tasted like normal sliced beef . Daughter had prawn with obviously bottled chilli sauce on top.Tiny portions !
We had a fantastic BBQ meal at this beautiful location. Drew and Lisa made our family gathering of 31 feel very welcome. The food was delicious and made with fresh local ingredients, and we enjoyed the views of Talland and a beach exploration afterwards. Reserva una mesa ahora
