On Trip Advisor's review page, we are asked to tick various boxes. One I had trouble with was "How expensive is this restaurant?". There are three boxes to tick - cheap eats or mid-range or fine dining. This implies that one must pay more for fine dining. As far as Snag & Brown goes, I consider that they serve gourmet meals at cheap to mid-range prices. Thus, I would need to tick every box. It won't let you do that.In July, six of us were seated in a quiet room at the back of Snag & Brown's quirky house. We made sure that we all chose different items from the menu. I can say that the bruschetta topped with 2 poached eggs was the best I have ever eaten. There were raves about the Calamari. I thought the lady who ordered the Rigatoni pasta was going to lick the plate clean. One regular diner always orders the hash browns. There was not one complaint from anyone. I had a delicious chocolate/pear pudding and there was passionfruit tart and other tempting looking desserts. Of course the coffee was excellent. One feature I really like - there are two private rooms inside with big round tables. These are more sociable than long tables, and could hold up to 10 people.I read a review from another diner who complained about the meal size being too small. Not so. He must have been a very big eater. Cost of all meals was under $20. That is so very cheap for gourmet meals. Ric and Steve were most attentive and helpful and we shared laughs together. It is my greatest hope that more locals may support such a gem as Snag & Brown and then spread the good word. I know we will all be returning in the near future.

Had lunch here on 2 occasions, this month, with family. I am gluten intolerant and found a lot to choose from. The sausages are made on the premises, are original and delicious as is the hash. Vegetarian options are also available and the menu can be tweaked to suit. The first visit saw us waiting about 40 minutes for the meal to arrive, but was well worth it. The second visit was a lot speedier. Breakfast menu is available until 2.30pm. This is quite a popular little place with inside and outside dining, though outside can be a little noisy with passing traffic. Parking is on the street and nearby parking is readily found, despite all the yellow road lines. Well worth a visit.

Incredible! 63 degree poached eggs are cooked perfectly, and the house-smoked salmon is to die for (as is the dill creme fraiche over asparagus). Best cafe brekky I've had full stop. These guys know coffee too; it's hard to find a REALLY good macchiato, but Snag & Brown sure delivered. This place must go on your to-do list!

It's an old house turned into café. Really cute décor, service was excellent. Price ranges were good, and the menu items were really fantastic (and delicious). Suitable for vegan/vegetarian. Good coffee
