The Snowdon Deli was an institution on Decarie and Isabella. It is still there, but only in spiritThat's about all I can say that's the same as the old days. Now the food is just so so, the prices are bordering on insulting, but the service is still great.My friend and I went in for a smoked meat (old fashioned) sandwich, shared fries, and a black cherry soda. Close to $45 for the meal, served ever so slowly so that even the fries were cold. Others I have spoken to about the obvious demise lament the missing founder's ruling hand.Like other well-known resto's, Snowdon is coasting on its reputation. Good luck on that guys

I haven't been here for ages and had a craving !So we were in the neighbourhood and stopped in !Parking is very bad around Isabella and Decarie , but we managed !We met old friends there, we haven't seen them in ages !We each had a small bowl of matzo ball soup and not in the mood for smoked meat sandwiches so we had French toast covered in fresh cut up fruits !So good here ! YumAnd there is a great take out counter too , Deli, bread, pastries, poppy seed cookies ! , cooked foods, etc The best !

Snowdon Deli is, without a doubt one of Montreal landmark!BUT, there corned beef does not cut it compare to some other legend of Montreal cornbeef.The ambiance is very traditional and you can tell most client are regular, witch tell alot !Was just not up to my "legendary delli" expectation, why I still give it a 3 of 5 !

Snowdon Deli is a Montreal landmark! Delicious food and great waitresses! From the daily homemade soups, to the chopped liver, chopped whitefish salad, fresh salads, and delicious deli meats, there is something for everyone.The french fries are hand cut and SO good. We called ahead and up our smoke meat sandwiches. They only started making them when we got there so glad it was not busy hot still. They must have gotten burned on some take out pick up orders. You are guaranteed it is hot. I had forgotten how good a medium/old fashioned is. WOW!.

This place is still an authentic Jewish deli. For brunch we had the Montreal smoked meat Beni, and the spinach Beni, with hot latkes. To die for ... and I'm not even Jewish. The place is clean, quirky, and not at all pretentious. Loved it.

You can do traditional breakfast, lunch etc with a special ambiance. Hot smoked meat (lean) with fries is a standard, but try anything that you think interesting. A local experience.

I never thought of this spot for breakfast, but it works. Not crowded which is a plus. Blintzes. Lox. Bagels. Herring. Eggs. Great coffee. Makes sense to me!

There are better delis in Montreal or at least better known ones but this is a good place that won't be as busy on a Saturday morning. Worth checking out.
