"Went on the spur of a moment as we read the dishes were lighter and didn’t regret for a moment. For starter I had Gambas and my husband had snail ravioli. Both were extremely flavourful and light. For main we had Canette which was cooked beautifully and for dessert I chose cheese while he had a meringue… thing. The waiters suggestion of wine was superb and with happy hearts we would definitely recommend!"

Great food with a unique use of spices that surprise. Especially impressed by the veloute de jour (melon) and the meat main dish (noix de veau). A multitude of spices and tastes that surprise and please taste buds. Poisson de jour was not too good, likely because they are in Dijon and not near any sea ; . Desserts were also solid although less surprising than the other things. Personally not a big fan of their yuzu cremant. Tastes like lemonade to me. On the other hand, a fab selection of their wine by the glass! 30EUR for entree plat dessert is a bargain. A great value for money we have not seen in the Paris area for a long time. Enjoy while you can before they start getting more accreditat...

My third review of SO, after many visits and the reason we keep coming back is consistency across the board. A warm welcome of course, attentive service absolutely and first class food every time. The limited menu with choice of 2 entrees, 2 mains and 3 desserts never fails to please and always difficult choices to make the food is so good. The wine list is extensive and caters for most palates and all budgets with wine by the glass and carafes also on offer. At 27 euro for three courses excluding drinks this is very very good value. This is a small and hugely popular restaurant so be sure to book and avoid disappointment. Looking forward to our next visit when back in Dijon.

We first dined here a year ago, and delighted to return. The food is as excellent as before with a menu that changes every 2 weeks. Service is good, polite and efficient. At 27 euros for 4 courses given the high standard of quality, preparation and presentation this is excellent value. As others have noted, the wine list while it has some lovely choices, is very expensive. Otherwise this is a great find tucked away from the main tourist centre and well worth visiting. Essential to book as it's very small the day's menu is texted to you and you're asked to make your choices in advance and text back.

We've dined here several times now both lunch and dinner and the quality and standards are always first class. Service is polite and discreet. The Japanese hosts are charming and the cuisine has a Japanese take on French food that delights at every bite. Quality, preparation and presentation are hallmarks of this place. My only criticism is that the wine list while extensive is expensive and more choices below 40 euros would be appreciated! Looking forward to returning.
