Sokyo is constantly booked out throughout the year at The Star and for good reason. It has amazing decor and a lively ambience that is perfect for an exciting night out. It is a definite must try at least once in Sydney. ⠀<br/ ⠀<br/ DISHES SAMPLED ⠀<br/ GRILLED SALMON Mouth-wateringly tasty, the salmon is incredibly flavourful with the perfect seasoning balance. The salmon skin added an amazing punch to the dish and the texture was meltingly soft to the taste. ⠀<br/ ⠀<br/ TRADITIONAL SASHIMI The salmon, scampi, scallops, king fish and trout were all so fresh and glistened beneath the light. The king fish needed extra seasoning as it was quite plain on its own. ⠀<br/ ⠀<br/ TRADITIONAL NIG...

Sokyo is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney and I recommend you try it at least once. Food is absolutely delicious, presentation is picture perfect and service is great. <br/ This time around I had the:<br/ sashimi platter You can never go wrong here<br/ oysters highly recommend if you like oysters <br/ maguro tataki probably my fave dish of the night <br/ wagyu beef with pumpkin purée I don’t normally like wagyu but this was exceptional!<br/ scallop dumpling ok, so this dish was great If you took off the yuzu infused “bubbles/foam”, otherwise I thought it was an odd combo of flavours (my sister thought so too)<br/ Queensland roll yummy<br/ tofu cheesecake very nice and innovative des...

This restaurant has been on my list to try for awhile. The toro was exceptional and the wagyu beef was a close second. The other items we had were also amazing (including the Japanese scallop, miso kingfish, tai nori, whitning tempura, kingfish furikake and spicy edamame. They were out of the smaller sakes so we got a carafe and it was delightful and fresh (heiwa tsuruume yiuzushu). Pretty pricey sushi wise so not for the faint hearted. Noise wise the music was quite loud at times and didn't quite go with the Japanese vibe. Service wise they were run off their feet but food was super quick. The sake actually took the longest at like 25 30 minutes and we already had a couple dishes on the tab...

Only set menu is available during this period of time, which selected from its signature dishes. The sashimi of salmon shingiku, miso kingfish and tai goma nori are extremely amazing! The fresh and balanced seasoning, the texture of sashimi deeply impressed me. Dengakuman may not suitable for my taste. It’s hard to describe the flavor of the toothfish, too sweet for me.Sushi is quite good while I’m not satisfy with the rice.desserts are far exceed my expectation, which are extremely stunning. Love the frozen strawberry milkshake inside the Kyoto mochi, love the caramel macchiato that filled with coffee ice cream, coco nibs topped with whiskey foam as well.BTW, there’re only two impressed dish... Food is of top notch and so does the service! The highlight of the night is the toro roll, Queensland roll, wagyu steak, and the beef tataki, that really showed the uniqueness of Sokyo. Extremely delicious! The waitress Winnie can speak mandarin and is super helpful when it comes to ordering as this was the first time we visited Sokyo. All dishes that she recommended were really good. It was very busy on Sunday night, but we were served really well with great attention. Definitely gonna visit sokyo again!

Food was beautifully presented but taste of pastries were a bit of a let down. Fruit platter was to share and was very fresh. I had the sokyonomiyaki and it lacked enough sauce.

Only know they not doing omakase after arriving, a little disappointed. Wagyu steak the highlight but the rest pretty average. Reserva una mesa ahora
