This restaurant bar lounge is located in a historic building in Solothurn right on the river edge. This once was the local slaughterhouse. Don't worry you won't find any animal guts inside. One of our local friends showed us this place, otherwise we would have passed it up. It is a large building, but doesn't look like much from the outside. One of those places you just want to hang out in. Huge space next to the river. Great outdoor seating by the water, indoor the huge windows, high ceilings and old stone walls make you just want to hang out there. Late for lunch and early for dinner but was able to get the veggie antipasti and a burger. The antipasti was a bunch of flavor bombs. The pesto and tomatoes were excellent. The olives I wanted to take home with me. So tender and full of flavor in olive oil and a little rosemary, the Parmesan with drizzled balsamic was great and so were the zucchini slices. A nice place to get something to eat and drink with your friends. The service was good and the terrace is very nice when it's warm and sunny. This place is on the pricey side but I think it's worth it.

Lovely place by the river to relax and enjoy a snack and a beer. Warm and friendly staff on this occasion who immediately sorted out a small issue. Recommended.
A great place for a drink or a casual bite and enjoy the freshness of the river. Cocktail are excellent. Excellent service from the great team at the bar.
