Warning: My 4 day stay had no housekeeping visits at all. This is completely unacceptable considering I ran out of towels after the first night. Very unhappy here Dated hotel with a face lift. My room was adequate but this is a no frills nothing special hotel. There is a mini kitchen with a hot plate I'm sure nobody uses. They have the thermostats limited at 65 degrees which is definitely a problem during the non-summer months. Can't lower the temperature in my bedroom to get it cooler and dry it out. I had chips on the paint in my bathroom and they had the dreaded wall shampoo conditioner dispenser. To make matters worse there was absolutely no breakfast one day and others were a continenta...

Stayed here over Thanksgiving; Have stayed here many times over the last 8 years This is Last time; BE ADVISED : If travelling with a pet, they WILL charge you $75. Even over a holiday. Also, FYI: MANY other hotels in the Passaic/Morris/Essex County area DO NOT charge for our pets) First room, smelled like stale smoke was assured its a smoke free property loloud; told them I know what that 'special ' smoke smells like) Second room, decent; slightly worn rug, holes in couch ,No alarm clock; but clean; Workers are friendly/professional: you will smell others cooking throughout the halls, and in your room slightly; Also, people smoking at rear entrances by trash receptacles and basketball court...

The condition of the room was dismal; nearly every wall had chipped paint, there were stains and marks throughout, and the carpet looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in ages—both inside and outside the room. I’ve had wonderful experiences at other Sonesta properties, so I was genuinely shocked by this one. I barely got any sleep due to the unattended children next door, who were making noise and having a great time around 2 AM, while their mother was nowhere to be found. Please don’t waste your time or money here—just drive a little further down to the Hampton Inn instead. Hilton would never allow this! If I could give it zero stars, I definitely would.

I've been traveling to New Jersey for business and have stayed at this location on a monthly basis for the past five years. However, during my latest stay, I encountered a major issue: there was no Wi-Fi available. I wasn't informed about this at check-in, and when I called to ask about it, I was given false information regarding when it would be restored. I've tried reaching out multiple times since then, but my calls have gone unanswered. I've noticed a decline in service over the past year, and the only reason I've continued to return is out of habit. I highly advise against making the same mistake I did. Save your money and your peace of mind. Reserva una mesa ahora

Zero stars if I could. I ordered food for delivery through a 3rd party. I provided my name and room number so they could drop my food off at my door. I received a call from the delivery person stating the front desk would not let them deliver my food, and I would have to come get it at the entrance door at 11pm. I have never experienced this issue in any other hotel before. If anything, they've called my room to verify, then allowed access to complete the drop off. Virginia at the front desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Please note: This is the only hotel I've seen that does NOT take walk-in reservations.

Good place to stay if you have pets and need a two bedroom place, otherwise stay away! Carpets and furniture, doors and bathrooms are stained, chipped and worn. Glassware in kitchen was filthy with no dish liquid provided and a used sponge. Shower in one bathroom didn't work. On the plus side, it's a convenient and quiet location, bed was comfortable. I also stayed here 4 years ago, and it appears little has been done to keep up this property. Covid is not to blame for the conditions here.

Additionally, the carpet in the hotel is dirty and coming up from the floor. I was also told they have washers and dryers available for guest use, and that I could purchase laundry detergent and fabric softener. However, when I attempted to buy some, they were out of laundry soap. This was my first stay at an ES Sonesta, and due to this experience, I will be reluctant to book another stay at any ES Sonesta hotel in the future.

This was the best continental breakfast I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. I enjoyed eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, and a chocolate croissant—delicious! The woman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and greeted everyone with her lovely smile. I would rate it 5 stars if the sound on my TV hadn’t been faulty. I will definitely return! Terrible experience. This restaurant is extremely dirty and in disrepair. The walls and carpets are filthy, the paint is peeling, furniture is broken, and even the faucet was detached from the countertop! It's hard to believe they're charging $100-$200 a night. The cleanliness level resembled that of a college frat house.
