Came here on a Thursday night for dinner. I love this place. Great food, great atmosphere, great service.<br/ <br/ We had a special treat. We were helped by Dale the manager. His folks own the place. We learned so much from Dale. I feel like I need to call ahead to make sure he is working so I can have him explain everything I'm eating and drinking to me!!! Went here on Friday and was disappointed with the service. It was my first time here and I don’t think I would come back again. First, we had to wait 20minutes for a server to take our order. We actually had to get up and look for a server. We waited for our food for quite a long time. The table beside us sat down about 15mins after us and got their food before us. We kept trying to wave a server over to our table but literally NO ONE was paying attention to us. The restaurant was much larger inside than it appeared from the outside, with a traditional low table seating area for 50 people and a more contemporary dining area also seating 50. After ordering our food, we were served with a typical assortment of Korean condiments to snack on while we waited for our meals. The soup was served with the main course, rather than as an appetizer. Although unable to find bulgogi on the menu, my dining companion chose the BiBimBap, which offered a mix of textures and flavors including a fried egg, ground beef, mushrooms, veggies, and rice. The food here is good. You won’t be disappointed but for the price you might feel like you should have gotten something more exceptional. Rice is not included in any of the main entrees whereas rice is almost always included at other places so it feels a little like they are skimping on something that really should be part of the meal. Not usually an issue if the prices are low but here they are on the higher side. Galbi was ok. Pieces were on the thinner side but still good. Overall a nice place to eat. I saw a picture of their sweet spicy chicken on Instagram it looked so good that I decided I had to try it. It came as a dish I ordered a bowl of steamed rice with it. I was very disappointed with it because it was not at all spicy the chicken was breaded before it was fried. It was like chicken balls with the batter but not rolled like chicken balls. It had a few pieces of pineapple, green peppers onions but so not what I expected.
The 4 of us came for Sat. dinner, without reservation, but managed to find a table. We ordered ginseng chicken soup (bland), breaded pork cutlet (taste so-so, portion large), bibimbap (good as they added sesame oil), and seafood noodles, which was mild spicy suited to our taste. Service was good. Overall OK but does not wow us.
