The chill of a cool night was quickly dispelled by warm hospitality. Ordered a cold antipasto and mozzarella caprese. It came along with a large loaf of hot delicious Italian Bread. Both appetizers were large and fresh. House salad followed and was likewise crisp and tasty. Entrees were substantial. Two of us defaulted to good old lasagna and were not disappointed. The waitress was terrific and constant attention followed even though she seemed to be tending bar as well. Actually she was quite stunning (a bonus). Going back soon. Check for four including tip was $37 apiece. No alcohol.
The attractiveness of the outside of the building is in indirect proportion to the warmth of the dining room. At lunch, a dinner menu and a list of (plated) luncheon specials was on the table. Upon inquiry received a “To Go” menu. While the server was pleasant, T Warm bread and butter ice water was promptly but overall, the service was slow with only one other party of two in the dining room. My wife had soup which was declared excellent. When finally delivered, lunch was hot, tasty and fresh. I would recommend this established. Groupon deals available.
My husband and I were looking for some good Italian food and a casual, welcoming environment. We took a chance on this restaurant and it was very good. The food was delicious and the portions generous..we took most of it home with us. It was very busy, but we didn't feel ignored and we even told the server not to worry-we had no where to go and were enjoying just chatting and nibbling on the delicious food. Delicious fresh bread, homemade pasta..it was an enjoyable dinner.
Excellent food, friendly service and a beautiful setting. This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, but go to the back for their patio dining and you’ll think you are in Northern Italy. Not usually a big fan of Vodka sauce but their sauce is amazing. Reasonably priced and a full bar. Definitely worth a try if you are in Rockland County.
