Sonny's Seafood Market

If you want fresh from the ocean kind of seafood you should try this place out. It's a very unassuming but well known store that's been around for decades. The owner is very nice and lets you choose and offers inputs on what to get and what pairs well. I'm proud to be buying from authentic seafood stores such as this. It's an amazing seafood market especially during Thursday and fridays. Happy to support local business!

What a wonderful little hidden gem in Bergen County! We traveled back to Jersey after relocating and searched for fresh or frozen Scungilli to bring back to family out West. Sonny's was the only place we could find it everywhere else has canned versions of it. Thanks to this place, our family is thrilled and enjoying their Scungilli!

Accustom buying fish at the Farmers Market in Hackensack.. yesterday I decided to buy at Sonny's ... people were very friendly .. unfortunately the fish was very tasteless.. thought it was just me but ... friends and family said the same. I'm very disappointed, just a waste of time and money... very sad

I must get back to Sonny's this week, I've been away from this jewel for too long due to Covid isolation. This is the fresh fish market your grandparents treasured for their seafood supplier. Expert fish mongers and an old pro who knows how and where to buy for the fussiest consumers!

Very rude, unprofessional people and make fun of people. Pricey store, and often the fish are not fresh. Choose a different fish market!
