Soon Han's Sushi - Reservar una mesa

The sushi at this restaurant is the best I have ever had, and is by far the best sushi option in the valley. However, I have a concern about the practice of adding gratuity to the bill when paying with a debit card. This has been mentioned in several reviews and I do not agree with this policy. I still come back for the sushi, but I now pay in cash to avoid any added charges. I suggest that others do the same to have control over their tipping decisions. I urge the restaurant owners to stop this practice and let customers decide if they want to tip for the service provided. Tips should always be optional and up to the customer, not the establishment.

We have been eating at and ordering take out from Soon Han’s for more than ten years (probably closer to 15). We have been to several sushi restaurants all over North America and Soon Han’s will always be my favourite. The avocado is always perfect, the fish is always fresh and the wonton soup is fantastic. We have never ordered something we did not like and now it’s also our kids’ favourite place to eat. We will be back over and over again. Oh and the prices are more than reasonable!

The sushi was disappointing. I could have made better sushi at home. I had someone else pick it up for me, and when I saw my bank statement, I realized I was overcharged by almost $10. When I called to address the issue, the person hung up on me. I will never return to this restaurant. The service was poor, the food was subpar, and I was overcharged. I will stick to Sushi Fang, as it is much better. Honestly, I'm not sure how this restaurant stays in business.

Absolutely the best sushi spot in the valley. I love this little restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. The owners are fabulous. The are soft spoken, polite, and attentive. They are also two of the hardest working folks I know of. They are always here, I haven't seen either one of them not present. The food is always fresh and delicious. This is a great spot for a quiet meal and conversation.

I’ve been eating here for close to a decade and it is absolutely fantastic every time. I’ve never had a less than perfect experience at Soonhans! The amount of reviews mentioning the automatic gratuity is surprising. That’s never bothered me, they deserve it.

I had a fantastic experience at this charming restaurant in New Minas. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. The prices were reasonable and the sushi was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Don't eat here! The owner automatically adds a tip to your bill without telling you. You order one cheap sushi roll to go and he will add a $10 tip. It feels illegal, but at the very least is a super scummy thing to do. Don't support this restaurant!
