We loved Sorella. In general, we found food in Canada a bit too elaborate and gussied-up for our taste. For our last night there, we wanted to find somewhere that allowed the great ingredients that are available there to shine through. We think we found that in Sorella. It's small and super-friendly. It was hard to choose from the specials. In the end we had salumi - a great choice of three cured meats, served with home-made pickles and delicious grilled bread - to share for our starter. We'd been talking to the lady who served us about the right way to cook pasta alle vongole (we'd been disappointed with this dish when we ordered it in North Van). So she brought us a plate of Sorella's past...

Having looked at the dinner menu online before my visit, I was not sure whether I would enjoy this restaurant. The casual and friendly establishment surprised me and my friends. We started with snacks (Spuntini) to share which were superb. The Tagliatelle with house bolognese was delicious while others had the Orecchiette with fennel sausage. The crispy rosemary roast potatoes were beyond compare. The selection of wines was very good. Daily specials make it more affordable, so check the web site. Service was very attentive and helpful but not at all obtrusive. There are clearly regulars who frequent this restaurant and are recognized by the staff. Prices (without the specials) are a bit on t...

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at this small Italian restaurant in The Cambie Village area of Vancouver. The restaurant holds about 25 dinners and is a very comfortable and intimate room. Our server was the chief's partner and she was delightful and very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu.We had a very inventive bruschetta with smashed peas and Parmesan cheese that was to die for. I had the orecchiette pasta with fennel sausage, which was excellent and my wife had the lamb ragu with pappardelle pasta, also excellent. Accompanied by a very smooth bottle of Toscana wine, this meal "rocked".I want to return to this restaurant, it is a gem.

I have to admit that my farfalle with spring asparagus and asiago fonduta was very tasty, but at $24 for the not-large portion I found it over-priced. My pre-dinner martinis were delicious as well, but small. The wine list is not extensive and I could not find a bottle under $40 (they offer corkage of your own bottle for $30). My dining companion ordered the daily ritotto, which arrived in a huge portion, but was very soupy. Reserva una mesa ahora

We felt like pasta and our lodging was close to Sorella so we reserved for that evening not knowing the special of the evening. You need to make reservations since it is a 30 sitting restaurant. The waitress was very nice explained the menu and told us about that evening special: a glass of wine with the ordered pasta. The appetizer of chickpeas square was so delicious and the pasta was just what we felt like.

We were in last Monday after the movie and were pleasantly surprised the lovely atmosphere and even better food. The pastas were exceptional and the heirloom, mozzarella & peach salad was both delicious and beautiful. Our service was friendly and attentive. I can't recommend this place enough and can't believe we hadn't been before. I am already looking forward to our return in the near future!

The restaurant itself is very small: probably seats no more than 24 people. On the recommendation of a friend, we decided to have a small family celebration dinner there. We were not disappointed. The service was attentive, and the food was cooked just right. I cannot honestly point out any one dish that was sub-standard. Would definitely recommend.

I was here a few years ago when it was Pied a Terre, and love that even though it's changed cuisine, the same beautiful decor remains. Reserva una mesa ahora
