Sorella - Reserva de mesa

Last evening, I happen to be in the Kauneonga Lake area seeing an elderly friend and I decided to get a pizza for her as she recently moved into the area and had not unpacked yet. I went to Sorella pizzeria and as I walked into the place I noticed it had a nice retro ambiance. I was met by three friendly people two staff and the owner who was making the pizzas. I noticed that the display pizzas were old looking and I immediately thought I would not order any of these slices. I hoped that if I ordered a whole pie it would be fresher and better than what was on display. Today, during dinner, they had only three specialty slices ready, with no plain slices in sight. When I asked, the staff member mentioned there were some in the oven. A moment later, a manager came out, and when the staff member inquired if those pizzas were meant for the counter, the manager flatly said no! What kind of pizza place doesn’t have regular slices available during dinner time? It feels like they’re either too lazy to prepare them or trying to push their specialty options instead. I live just ten minutes away, but from now on, I’ll be heading in the opposite direction to restaurants where I know I can find regular slices readily available.

What a great place to sit in and have an authentic Italian dinner. You can even stop by quick and grab a delicious slice or fresh made sandwich! The atmosphere is comforting and inviting to all ages, it offers a great way to share family time without worrying about the hassle. There’s even live music on the weekends! They really know how to offer a great place to call home away from home!

We had chicken piccata, which was tasty. But we had gone there for veal piccata, which they advertise online, and found that it’s no longer on the menu. If you’re a wine drinker, note that the wines are by Carlo Rossi. The server was very pleasant. The highlight was the music: a fantastic veteran sax player accompanied by a smooth and able guitarist. The food here is always very good, authentic italian. Perfect genuine thin crust NYC style pizza. For the long time visitors to the area, Jerry's pizza is the closest to El Monacos pizza around!

Our pizzas were disappointing, and when we brought up our concerns, the manager was rude and aggressive. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We ordered takeout. The meals were fantastic. Chicken parm dinner, lazana, and meatball parm. All were delicious.
