We've been to this restaurant many times last summer, and were so impressed with every aspect of the place (was called Copacabana then). We've been there twice this summer now that it's called South Beach Restaurant. We went to this restaurant this past Wednesday for wing night, but compared to the last time we were there for wing night in June.....found the service and food really deteriorated and we left displeased and vowed to never patronize this restaurant again. The food was over priced for what is was, about $13-14 for a chicken sandwich, which did not include a side. I ordered a diet pop and is was severed warm and flat, I returned it saying the carbonation was off and I tried something else, but it had the same problem, obviously they needed to change they're Co2 tank, but didn't so I just drank the flat pop. My boyfriend ordered a coffee and it was severed lukewarm, borderline cold. The sandwiches were good, no complaints there, but half way through our meal we saw other people being served cans of pop, so it would have been nice if they offered me that, since they knew they has a problem with their pop machine. We just ate dinner at this restaurant tonight and when we got the bill, it appeared that the price was too high. When I asked to see the menu again, they had overcharged me by $3-4 on 3 menu items. When I asked the server, she said the system was being 'glitchy'. There is nothing glitchy about overcharging for menu items. That would have to be a programming error by a manager or owner. When I asked to speak to the manager, she made some excuse about something that happened on the long weekend, which was almost 3 weeks ago. There was no apology and she was quite rude. So very disappointed, really prefer to give good ratings sadly no way I can here. The upper deck which has the best view is closed to reservations only on weekends but no one was there at all , expensive , slow service they served the beer in the wrong glasses said they were out of the proper ones , they opened at 11 and we were there at noon , cancelled the expensive appetizer and paid for the expensive beer and went to another location with a much better ambiance and better prices !!Will NEVER GO OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!! Friendly service and nice location by the beach. Cook knows how to fry things like nuggets and the fries were good but Greek salad was watery, the only good thing was a generous amount of olives. Added grilled chicken and it was pretty much inedible, had a strange consistency and I was concerned it might no be fully cooked. Jerk chicken wrap was meant to be spicy but seemed to be hardly seasoned at all. Ok for a drink and snack (like fries or onion rings) by the beach but not if you want a decent meal, in my opinion.
Food was not very impressive, quite greasy actually and the price was way expensive. you could it better at MacDonald for a fifth of the price basically. The service was friendly but quite disorganized.The location is the only thing worthy even though it is not very clean.not coming back.
