We headed in for dessert last night having dined up the street and I think I had mentioned something like I crave one of their chicken tacos and prawn quesadillas! I’d actually attempted to come here Easter Monday but sadly (along with half of Melbourne it seems), it was closed. Having eaten I didn’t order those (but you should) instead we got nachos which were a little lacklustre but quite generously portioned. The toppings were all on the side which made it a bit messier to eat and the lack of a tomato based salsa was a real miss for me. Visited recently with a group of friends. We were able to make a reservation which was great. We each tried a margarita. Flavors were nice but the glass was not filled when they arrived and felt like half the drink was missing. Food was ok. We shared the jalapeño poppers. These were tasty with a real spicy kick. Chips and guacamole was good but it needed a larger serve of guacamole. We had finished the dip and were still left with half a bowl of chips. The corn was tasty as was the fried chicken. We each then ordered some tacos. Flavor was ok but not fantastic. Our fave dish of the night was the nacho loaded fries with added pulled pork. Generous serve and very tasty.

Offering a fresh, fun and a little bit cheeky vibe, newly opened Mexican cantina South of the Wall in Richmond forgets about constraining itself when it comes to the happy hour offering ridiculous cheap Margaritas what feels like all day long.  With the type of service you'd expect to receive from a good friend, and a menu that's filled with all of your Mexican favourites, its not hard to quickly discover that you've made the right choice walking through South of the Wall's doors.  And don't worry if you haven't caught on to the South of the Wall reference by the time of arrival, it will soon become clear on spotting the giant Donald Trump mural on the wall.

WHAT I LOVED: TACO TUESDAYS? YES! Half-priced tacos all night long! There’s such a wide variety of tacos and snacks to choose from. The pork belly and steak tacos were amazing! The mushroom taco was incredibly juicy and paired perfectly with the corn salsa. The corn chips in the nachos had a fantastic crunch and went wonderfully with the cheese and salsa. The funky decor and fun atmosphere makes SOTW a must visit when in Richmond! We stopped in early but be careful, it fills up fast and they only take bookings for bigger tables. There are more drink choices than you can imagine, especially tequila (obviously) but loads of beers and cocktails too! We have the corn, AMAZING! The fried chicken, needed a bit more sauce but still delish! And the jalapeño poppers, They. Are. Hot.The friendly, diligent and knowledgeable staff top off what is a great bite out! You’ll have to try it....

Casual Mexican restaurant/bar with a chilled vibe and great taco menu. Between two we shared the croquettes, the fried chicken, the ceviche and some tacos. I had the fish and the pork belly tacos. I really enjoyed the croquettes and the pork belly taco. The fried chicken was super crispy and a huge portion. I was a bit disappointed in the ceviche though it was very fishy tasting and didn’t seem very fresh. Overall an enjoyable Sunday night dinner. Keen to try the jalapeño poppers when they haven’t run out.

A group of us recently enjoyed the bottomless brunch, and it was an incredible deal. For just $59, we had unlimited food and drinks for three hours. By the end, I was completely stuffed, even though we skipped a few food courses. I highly recommend the fish tacos—I could have eaten twenty of them! The quesadillas weren't my favorite, but overall, everything was quite good. The service was attentive, and they made sure we always had enough to eat and drink.

Had a girls lunch here on a Sunday it was fab! Kicked off early had an indoor booth to ourselves which was perfect All the food (we sampled corn chips, a variety of tacos, quesadillas fried chicken was delicious but the fried chicken was a stand out I’ll definitely be back for more! This place absolutely embodies Mexico with its fantastic atmosphere, vibrant decor, and delicious food and drinks. The fish tacos are exceptional, and the nachos and guacamole are classic favorites!

Such delicious food and there is a very relaxed vibe about the space. Have to get the corn and pulled pork quesadilla every time... when you’re onto a good thing!
