Southern Blues Harford Road

I had to give this place a try after reading the reviews, as I was craving some good soul food late at night. I called the restaurant to place an order, but no one answered, so I decided to order online through their website. I convinced my fiancé to go with me to pick up the food. I ordered the Turkey Wing platter with Kohl potatoes, which came served on a bed of rice with gravy. He went for a simple fried chicken wing with macaroni and greens. Each order included a choice of roll or cornbread, along with a seafood salad and peach cobbler. I placed the order around 7:45 PM.

This is my first time at this restaurant and I was looking forward to some yummy southern peach cobbler. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed to find out that my dessert was just peaches and the filling. There was little to no crust as you can see in the photos which is such a let down. I paid for peach cobbler, not peach soup! This was not a good first impression at all and I do not plan on ordering from here again. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Food: 1

The food is great, but I would like to see more consistency with the side dishes, particularly the mac and cheese. The wait times can vary quite a bit. The young staff at the counters are doing a commendable job; if one person is having difficulty, another steps in to assist, which is nice to witness. However, I believe more attention should be paid to special instructions on orders, like "don’t fry wings hard," as the results can be inconsistent.

I had a fantastic experience with their takeout dinner! The food was outstanding, and I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5. The service also earned a 4, as my order was ready promptly. The atmosphere was decent, scoring a 3. I highly recommend trying the Fried Chicken Wing Dinner and the Peach Cobbler, both of which were delicious. I ordered the pork ribs, but they were overcooked, making the meat tough. They were heavily coated in BBQ sauce, which didn't quite make up for it. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 3.

All I can say is wow! The food is absolutely amazing. I'm eagerly waiting for my sister to come to Baltimore so she can experience the Southern Blues for herself.
