Southern Cross - Reserva de mesa

My first experience with this establishment they had given away my reserved table. Apparently a guest said his name was the same as mines but they did not confirm last name and gave him my table. I appreciate the honesty but this is not professional. The manager was apologetic and treated me and my date to two glasses of wine while we waited an additional 30-40 mins to be seated. Just recently I decided to give them another try and once again my reservations weren’t honored. I requested upstairs seating and was told upon arrival that our table wasn’t ready yet. We were asked to wait in the bar area. I instantly thought here we go again and I was right. About 5 mins later we were then seated...

the service and the ambiente were great. the food was moderate. the cookies are very dry and flocculent. I have heard that the restaurant brunch on the street is much better. Maybe dinner is better, but I wasn't impressed enough to go back.

We were charged for two ranch dressings even though we didn't request any. Additionally, the veggie omelette had no meat in it, even though we were told we could add some. We specifically asked for sausage but it was missing.

My sister came across a post featuring their fried chicken sandwich and beignets, and we decided to visit with a few friends. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst meal and dining experience I've ever had. Reserva una mesa ahora

The Cajun pasta with blackened shrimp is a favorite but we had the blackened scallops with butternut mashed squash, cranberry risotto and spinach and it was DELICIOUS!
