Next door in a new building, I had doubts that a chicken joint deep in rural Georgia could legit be 4.5 stars. But the reputation and rating are accurate this is excellent chicken. Only open for drivethrough during COVID, my RV and I got in the queue and managed to avoid hitting any of the overhangs when placing and picking up my order. Despite having to shout at the speaker (I'm quite a distance away! , they understood my order and had me pull around. At the pickup window, I stepped out (mask on! to exchange my credit card for my lunch. All staff I could see through the window were also wearing masks. Sunday in Early County, GA doesn 't have a lot of dining options, so we resigned ourselves to what turned out to be the BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER. It was so good that after lunch (takeout) at Blakely Chicken, and a nice afternoon climbing Kolomoki Mounds and hiking in the area, we went back to fetch dinner. I 've done that maybe twice in my life, and can 't recall doing that in the last 20 years. Part of it was lack of nearby non-fast-food options, but after lunch, we didn 't even consider researching alternatives. Absolutely love this local establishment. Gotta have the chicken and corn nuggets. The fried okra is delicious along with the other sides. Those of you not from the South let me warn you the sweet tea is SWEET and the lemonade is too but it is dang good and i miss it dearly. Just get a side of water and cut it as needed, if you cant take it Did i mention the corn nuggets. Be aware those things are addictive and may have you taking long detours to get more. Blakely is a little off the beaten path but if you are within 50 miles or so it's definitely worth the trip it is a must stop when ever i am in the area.
I took a detour through town on my way to the beach and was pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken was simple yet delicious, accompanied by perfectly prepared sides. Whether you choose bone-in or tenders, both are incredibly tasty! The coleslaw was fantastic, and the soft roll rounded out the meal perfectly. You can enjoy dining in or use the drive-thru, and it’s dog-friendly on the porch. Consider getting a bucket to go for a fun family meal that’s sure to please. Colonel Sanders would definitely approve of this place. Just go for it!

First time here and it was worth the 2 hour drive to get here! this chicken was so amazing it tasted so good and it was crunchy, like just out the fire, I enjoyed this so much, not sure when but i will come back! The liver and gizzards were so good, and it WASN'T salty or overly seasoned.
Recently that was my first time going to this restaurant but everything was amazing everything will season well I had fried chicken and baked chicken and sides but everything is great
Best Fried Chicken in the South! Blakely Chicken has been famous for over 40 years for their good chicken! Stop in for fine dining, or grab you a chicken box to-go!
Blakely Chicken is where it's at! Great food, great prices and awesome service! What else could one ask for! They have all the fast food chains beat hands down!!!

Pretty good chicken. Service is really fast. Really clean and tidy. Food is good. Sides are good also. Price is very reasonable . Good location also.
Back when Covid hit they were so disorganized hopefully the people working there are better now
