Southern Fried Chicken Charminster

First use of this place, probably wouldn't order from here again to be honest. Ordered some late night grub after a show at the pavilion and while it just ok, it was far from anything special quite frankly. Chips were just ok, as was chicken. The chicken reminded me of those KFC imitation/rip off packs you get in Iceland supermarket. Paid total of 15 quid for the bucket deal with chips and drinks inc delivery. Afterwards I wished I'd just nipped round to McDonald's after the show. Average at best based on my experience

It feels bad giving this place an average score as we have been a few times and I will go back. It's reliable and produces good value chicken to a good standard. They are open late and deliver when other places are shut, so what can you complain about? The benchmark of good chicken is crispy non greasy skin, which these guys do better than most, while offering a range of other dishes (e.g. pizza) to keep everyone happy

Ordered for delivery which was delivered past 12 on a Friday night, only place available for delivery at that time other than a Cali. To be fair food was on a par, isn’t fine dining but fills a hole when you’ve had a few beers.

After not going to SFC For a while because of cheap food thought we would give it a go tonight. Verdict. Chappy good again. Burnt chips. Could hardly bite the burger. That was rock hard burnt. Rock hard bun. Never going again.

Best fried chicken in Bournemouth and the service was super friendly, especially the guy taking orders.
