We were in the area and my girls and I decided to have a lunch date. The gentleman that greeted us at the door was super friendly and helped us right away. Our server was very attentive and friendly with my girls. The food came out pretty quickly as well. The biscuits are AMAZING. Even my oldest who isn't a fan of any type of bread enjoy the biscuits and ate more than half of hers. The cornbread wasn't a favorite of ours. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with French fries and green beans. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Their French fries are 10/10 voted by my girls. Very crisp and soft in the center. Customer service was not so good.. one young man was taking a to go order and the other young lady was rolling silverware. When she finally turned around she helped everyone else.. I had to tell her i was here before everyone she just helped.. once i did get some help they couldn?t locate my order.. i ordered 3 plates one being pulled pork over rice.. i have gotten this several times before.. this time all i got was jus pulled pork with barbecue sauce just sprinkled on top and a little bit of rice.. couldn?t even mix the pork and barbecue sauce together. So i goes back in to speak with a manager and he is too busy to come speak to me.. another employee comes and like yeah it comes like that...
A nice meat and two restaurant that my family frequents after church on Sundays. The buffalo chicken sandwich is flavorful and spicy enough to keep you going back for the next bite. The okra, when served fresh off the fryer, is crunchy goodness in a bowl. The fried chicken also is crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. But don't take my word for it. The menu is diverse enough, there is something for everyone. Go give them a try!
A shout-out to Southern Fried Green Tomatoes! The service was top-notch, even with our party of 7 triggering a 20% automatic gratuity – and they went above and beyond. The staff was incredibly friendly. While the biscuits were a bit hit-and-miss, the mashed potatoes were spot on. Only hiccup: the fried okra was slightly overcooked. Overall, a satisfying experience! I had soupy chicken salad with soupy cold slaw. I have had better food in the Hospital. Obviously everything pre made for volume service, homemade never in their sight line. There spring salad looked good, order something that need hands on to make. Also their Webb page needs updating, pieces have doubled.
The greeting we received made me feel instantly at home. The hospitality is second to none. Food came out within minutes of ordering. Good spot for homestyle cooking. Kids eat free all day Saturday. Mac cheese was delicious as was the fried chicken sweet potato souffle.
