There is a reason why this place has been rated so high over the years and has maintained its presence in the Tacoma community as a solid location to get great food. What you get is quality. It cannot eat well, the tablecloths are pleasantly quirky. The floor is a bit jammed. The area's going down. If you're not in it, it's good. If you want a delicious food on a small menu where they have cooked it for years on the right way, come and stop here, like all others. We could not stop cycling over the liver and onions, butterfish and the wonderful waiter. Every idiot of our brunch was thrilled. The butterfish simply melts in the mouth with a crispy, but not excessively thick dough lining outside...

Big little diner. I had the bacon and cheese omelet, grits with cheese and butter, sourdough toast and coffee. The food was good, but the service is what distinguishes it from the rest. Not much parking near the place, but there is a payment to park plot on the side. You scan a Qr code and pay on your phone. Simple peas.

First time visiting this great restaurant and I highly recommend it. They had a whole lineup of amazing lemonade, (blackberry was excellent. I had the fried chicken sandwich and greens and they were delicious. The staff was super friendly and the inside of the restaurant was beautiful.

Had the vegetable plate, choose the Mac and cheese, red beans and rice, butter corn and potatoes and gravy. It was excellent. We also had the butterfish, it was nicely baked, but not dry or greasy. Will definitely try again various options.

I have a feast here. Highlights were the sides, corn cakes, beans and rice, potatoes and green collars. Also get the sweet tea mixed with lemonade! *Chefs Kuss* The service was great and friendly.
