I often travel to Southern Pines for work and regularly stop by the Southern Pines Brewing taprooms. My experiences there have always been positive, but this recent visit was particularly memorable! The new Oktoberfest beer is incredible—I ended up enjoying three of them! The service was outstanding, too. Emily, in particular, was attentive and knowledgeable, and she knows all the regulars by name, which adds a wonderful atmosphere to the place. This is the canning facility for Southern Pines Beer, with their main tasting room located downtown on Pennsylvania Avenue. While you can try a selection of their beers here, it's not the full range of 30 brews you'll find at the downtown location. Our server, Andrew, was extremely friendly and engaging. He did a great job comparing Southern Pines beers to popular mainstream options, helping us understand the flavors without having to sample every single brew. We had a wonderful time here and noticed many locals stopping by just to grab four-packs of their favorite beers.

This restaurant has a quintessential brewery bar atmosphere. They provide an extensive range of beers on tap, in cans, and even offer growlers that you can take home. I tried the Malty by Nature, a Scottish red ale, and it was quite enjoyable. My wife tasted the Salted Caramel Macchiato Stout and proclaimed it her all-time favorite. Love the beer but the taproom on Pennsylvania has a better selection of beer, and the atmosphere and venue is pretty hard to beat. Overall, if you haven't had southern pines brewing beer, you should go to the taproom on Pennsylvania since the selection is a lot better to get familiar with their beer.

Great selection! I was a huge fan of the new raspberry seltzer on the menu. Also, this is a must see if you're in to being treated like an inconvenience by the bartending staff. Their aloof disinterest is unparalleled ?
