Southern Stone - Reservar una mesa

The food was very good but the service was disappointing. Our server was cordial and helpful when she was there but she never checked in to see how the food was or if we needed anything else after it was delivered. By itself that wouldn’t be too bad especially if they were very busy but they weren’t. There were only a handful of customers and we noticed other servers being more attentive to their tables. Worse was the poor timing of our drink order. We ordered cocktails and an app to start and later put in the order for our mains including a glass of wine to go with the main course. The apps came and were eaten and we were well into our main course before the cocktails came and that was after reminding the server about them. As we finished the main course, the server finally stopped by and simply said, “you don’t want that wine do you?” No apology, no explanation for the drink screw up, nothing. It’s a shame that this turned out to be such a poor experience because the food here is very good as were the drinks when we finally got them. I’d be hesitant to recommend this restaurant to friends based on our experience.

We enjoyed our meal at Southern Stone. Many good menu choices and several weekend specials. Started with deviled eggs, which were flavorful. We shared the po-boy and the catfish tacos. Both were more that full portions, and the catfish was lightly blackened as requested. The sauce on the tacos had slight heat to it, which was fine. Red potatoes and cheddar grits as side dishes were also very good. Service was great and restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Just short of we will definitely return to Southern Stone.

Southern stone was amazing! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, I would recommend this place times over! Especially if you are celebrating something special! Amazing place!

Food was very good, server was excellent, restaurant was cold and the cocktails were overpriced for the low pour.
