Last night, our dear friends treated us to a meal at a restaurant where we could order a variety of dishes, both raw and cooked. One of my favorites was the popcorn shrimp roll, as anything fried or sweet is always a hit with me. The crispy shrimp rolls were delicious. Another standout dish was the eggplant with a sweet sauce. The spinach salad also had a sweet dressing, which balanced out the meal nicely with the sashimi, kingfish, and tofu. We enjoyed carafes of wine with our dishes, and the bill came out to be reasonable per person including tip. The only downside was the noise in the restaurant when it was full. As a huge fan of Japanese food, particularly sashimi with Japanese flavors, this restaurant exceeded my expectations! I reside in Bondi and I can't believe I hadn't tried this place sooner. We also ordered the wagyu beef on hot rocks, which was delicious, although the rocks cooled down quickly causing the meat to not cook all the way through. The staff was polite and attentive.
