Thanks to previous reviews we tried this place yesterday. The dining room has a great ambiance and feels very Italian. Service was friendly and very efficient. It was busy for a mid week lunchtime but we had made a reservation. Great menu at sensible prices with decent wine list too. Our food was excellent. We will be sure to return.Most main dishes were between 8 and 12 Euro. My wife had the risotto special with mushroom, garlic and truffles which was 22. The portion size is very good too.
This is a truly great restaurant with outstanding food and wine - classic Italian pastas, great starter salads and desserts. You can't fault this place. I'm a 'foodie' familiar with Michelin star restaurants and I tell you this is on our list of go-to places in Perpignan where we have a holiday home. Just remarkable classic Italian cooking. Stay away to keep it a hidden secret! Highly recommend the salad San Lorenzo, the lasagne Aldo and the linguini with mushrooms and truffle.
Had our first meal at Aldo's having seen them recommended by others and we weren't disappointed. Husband had bolognese lasagna and I had del orto vegetarian. It was the nicest veg lasagne I've ever tasted. Enjoyed it so much went back with friends the next day and the verdict was the same. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. We would have gone back for the third might but they didn't open Sundays.
Just off the main drag, the food here is fantastic. Rocked up about 7.15pm as the place was opening up, the man in charge was attentive and chatty and very friendly indeed. I had the spaghetti vonogole and for 2 extra euro's you got the big portion and it was massive, if you like seafood this is a must, the Mrs had pasta and again she thoroughly enjoyed it. Found this place as it was near our hotel. The restaurant is nicely fitted out and offers a good range of pasta dishes obviously with an Italian influence. The dishes we had were generous, well presented and more importantly tasty and authentic. While we only had one course each it did seem like a nice place and was well-priced.
Went there on a saturday night, the place was great not so crowded (we had reservations). The food was amazing I had a gnocci alla bolognese and it was truly one of the best I've eaten in my life, they paired it with a great wine too. The prices are great too, not expensive at all.
My favorite restaurant in Perpignan where I can eat the best pastas I know in a very friendly atmosphere. Every person that likes pastas should give theirs a try.
