Have to say that this spot was definitely outstanding and one of the best that I have been to in Beverly Hills. From the phenomenal service to the spectacular food, this spot checks all the boxes. The interior of the restaurant appears to still be used for large groups and events while the outdoor area (built during the pandemic) is used as the standard dining room. I did not find it an issue whatsoever and kind of preferred it. In terms of food, I would highly recommend the Pizza with House Cured Smoked Scottish Salmon and the Austrian Veal Weinerschnitzel. I have eaten at Spago many times over the years enjoying its creative food. It was a disappointment this time. Our appetizers appeared 30 minutes after we sat down including the sashimi and the carrot soup, which was excellent. Then we waited for our jidori chicken. we asked the two servers the status. The chicken arrived and although it was not dry, it was not moist or juicy. The agnolotti was ok. After we sat down, we saw an adjoining table receive their appetizers, entree and soufflé and leave. the food to me was slow and someone at Spago said to me that the jidori chicken takes more time to cook as an explanation

Living off it’s past . The service level was outstanding but the food was just ok. Two star prices and ok food. I am ok with expensive when the food is outstanding and have gladly paid 300 for a tasting menu. Here plan on 150 per person and wine marked up 5x for good but not great.
