This restaurant is small, the tables are perhaps just big enough or potentially even a bit too small.Having said that I do still recommend you give this place a chance, call and book a table in advance such is their popularity with locals.Service is personal and friendly, we had a young lady serving out table and she quickly made a positive impression. After having read the reviews I thought I should pay a visit, being in the area. Nice little tiny place, reasonably busy for late lunch time mid-week. It looked promising. Alas!The chorizo burger being recommend I gave it a go. More the "patatas bravas" convinced me. I had to wait and wait to get two overcooked dry burgers, nicely presented though. The "patatas bravas" weren't brave at all. I couldn't eat them. To be fair, I tried the "crema catalana" that could have reminded me of my young days in Catalunya! Not even close.I went out pretty disappointed. What a shame, it could be so good.
We tried the dips of 4 kinds with toasted sour dough I think. The 4 of us loved it. The mains are limited with no steak choice which one guy was not impressed. I had calamari which was not a large serving but nice. The girls had paella. The rice was tasty and the seafood was added after. Not sure if this is correct. They are fully licensed with a good range of beer and wines.
Dropped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Not busy. Took an outside table. Brought out some water and staff disappeared. Busy setting tables n chatting amongst them selves. I found this cafe had lovely food, reasonable prices and great customer service. Menu is basically "spanish". Caters for gluten free diets and has a good variety. Beverages range from wines to tea and coffee. Desserts also available. Staff do not rush you out of the door. Parking is available behind the cafe.
website does not show menu. if you dont like seafood not much choice. Iasked if I could buy one of the Spanish beer glasses, boss isn't there so couldn't help.We would have happily paid for the glass as a reminder of our b in law who has justpassed away and loved Spain. Won't go again
Had a great night with 3 friends. We sampled the dip platter, the meatballs, the "pasties" and the grilled cheese as well as some yummy desserts. A little on the pricey side, but the taste buds were very very happy.
Great venue. Spanish breakfast, lunch & dinner. The breakfast is different to your standard menu. A bit pricey, but worth it for a change up. Good location on Kananook ck, and moments from the beach.

Great Spanish food cooked buy someone who knows how. I love payela in general but they can make it sing in your mouth.
