Spice Art Indian Cuisine

This is the best Indian food I've had in the Lower Mainland. The name is accurate - you can tell the the chef is a spice artist! The samosas have a subtly spicy, complex flavor that becomes more apparent with every bite and a light texture, enclosed in a crispy but not greasy pastry. The vindaloo is perfect, cooked in a blend of spices and aromatics that come together to be more than the sum of their parts (I could eat this dish every single day). Just walking through the door you can tell from the amazing smells that hit you that dinner is going to be great. The you're greeting by super friendly staff who are more than willing to tell you about anything and everything on their menu so you can pick out a delicious meal. They have dairy and gluten free options if you have dietary restrictions. The service is as quick as it is friendly, and there is a great family feel to the whole restaurant. Wether you like it mild or hot, you can also customize your spice level. The naan is delicious, as are the samosas, the chutney, the butter chicken, and the coconut curry. Definitely head over for dinner if you want delicious Indian food.

My husband and I had Spice Art take out. We placed an order, and told 40 minutes wait. We found the food to be barely warm, little flavour, and not much to each dish. One of the dishes we ordered, was butter beef. We were surprised to find it was meatballs, not chunks of beef as we believed it would be. As well we could not believe the amount! The container was 1/3 full, all sauce. The curry chicken had chunks of meat that appeared to be processed.Cold dishes, very small servings, flavour lacking...Very disappointing overall. We will not return.

My Mama and I eat here often and they never cease to amaze us. The food is so amazing and full of flavour. You can tell it is made with love and passion. The staff is also awesome here they always make you feel welcome and provide excellent service. I honestly believe Spice Art is the best Indian food I have ever had and I've eaten a lot lol. Try it! We have ordered take out as well as dining in the restaurant. The service and food quality is inconsistent. The first time we visited for lunch, we were impressed by the decor and the service. We ordered take out for lunch and the quantities were small and not fresh.

Generous portion sizes..Order 1 dish per person and share with each other. Food ingredients, including meats, are good quality. Taste is slightly above average. Ambience is good and service is very good. Each Entree comes with 1 Naan or bowl of rice (your choice).

We had the pleasure of eating here last night and LOVED the food. The flavours were amazing, the service was so friendly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. It was the best Indian food I have had in a long time!
