Ill start on a high as the food was quite tasty and served at the correct temperature. Thats where it ends.....Went on a recommendation but wish I hadnt. It should be a goldmine with 4 pubs in close proximity but the restaurant appears to be a run down youth club building. It was pretty empty and quite unappealing inside. The staff were totally indifferent and I felt our party were an inconvience to them and everything was too much trouble. Considering the lack of people in there, the service was appalling. The icing on the cake was our request of a jug of water for our party of 4 people was brought to the table with 3 glasses and a shrug of shoulders. We had to ask to order twice, extra men...
Have been going to the spice lounge for many years now, always had lovely evening and fabulous food, tonight, food was lovely as usual however the wait was huge!!! We seated at 6.30, not many others in, waited almost 30 mins to be offered poppadoms then almost 40 mins for order to be taken, food arrived at 8.30, although one meal hadn’t been cooked and several bits of our order had been missed. Asked for the bill at 8.55 still hadn’t had it by 9.40. Due to issues I asked for reduction in bill, this was agreed by the chef apparently as the manager had gone home!!!! Was told by waiter that chef said to never come back!!! Not a problem, so disappointed in the evening at what was one of my favou...
Very strange and disappointing experience. Food was fine but possibly the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. It took 3 hours in total for starters and mains, one meal was forgotten and was cooked after the rest were served. A 40 minute wait for the bill and on complaining about the poor service were advised that the manager had gone home. We paid slightly less than billed as compensation and were told by the chef to never come back! He needn’t worry about that…will not be returning or recommending to anyone. I suspect we won’t be alone as there were multiple unhappy customers this evening.
Possibly the oddest place I've ever been for a meal. It was like sitting in a community centre. There was a total lack of atmosphere and the toilets are a mess. As for the food, it took forever to come out and when it did it was tepid and tasteless. I've never has greasy rice before and never wish to have it again. I'm not to sure what I expected but with a 3 star food safety rating maybe I shouldn't have expected too much. Its safe to say I will not be returning. Reserva una mesa ahora
Spice lounge spice lounge spicy lounge ... where do I start. Walk in look at the menu and what do I see a whole FISH menu! I go straight for the salmon lazini an adventurous choice. Legend has it the word salmon comes from the Latin word salmo or salire, which means to leap . You could say I lept for joy at the sight of that option on the menu. The salmon was fantastic. Tasted like it was fresh out of Chasewater. I will be back for more fresh fish.
We visited this restaurant for a takeaway. First of all we had to wait one hour for the food rather than the specified 30 minutes,. To be honest we could have lived with this however the food was atrocious! Poor ingredients especially the meat and chicken, soggy Nan breads. Two of us had South Indian garlic chili chicken. The restaurants interpretation of this classic Indian dish left it almost inedible. AVOID!!!
We love this place.... Best takeaway in Burntwood... Esp on Wednesday when they do Any starter, main and Naan for £11.95!!!!! But even without the offer, would still eat here.... Love going into the restaurant also... Food is consistently tasty and staff are great esp Aka!!!!!!!!!! Been using this Indian for at least 10 years!!!!!
Love coming here. Not only is it my go to takeaway it’s always a good place to visit and have a meal. Take your own drinks if you wish and enjoy their lovely food. Never had a bad meal and the service is always warm, welcoming and certainly not slow. Reserva una mesa ahora
