Sport Hotel Steakhouse

Had a summer break in this long established ski resort. It is an excellent place for walkers and mountain bikers. You get a pass for free cable car rides and bus rides. Several good restaurants, but I think the Sport Hotel serves the best and the staff are great. The hotel itself is very good and the Manageress, Marianne, is simply wonderful as nothing is too much trouble for her and she has been at this hotel for 29 years. If noise disturbs you ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the front of the hotel overlooks the main street and it gets noisy first thing in the morning with delivery trucks and the road sweeper, etc......also the youngsters in the street at night can disturb you an...

Being in St.Anton in Summer might be a challenge for finding a not-closed restaurant. Even our hostess said there was a surprisingly large number of closed restaurants compared with previous years.Any way, we went there for testing the wienerschnitzel made from calf( not pig). They recommended a read wine(BB-Blauer Bur....). Extremely good wine and perfect to the Schnitzel.But again, why no vegetables? The food is good but rather tasteless...Is this typical for all Austrian dishes?? We just wonder, but had the feeling no new style in the Austrian cousine. That is a pity .And once more; when removing the dishes from the main course - why do you not ask if your guests want a dessert and/or cof...

We walked in without reservation, felt lucky to get a table as most decent places require booking. I had couple of smaller dishes, goulash soup and beef tartare. Sweet cheese strudel as a dessert. All three dishes were tasty and well presented. We were recommended Austrian Cabernet Sauvignon. Really good although pricey. Service was attentive and efficient. Pleasant atmosphere was enhanced by a pianist. We would definitely go back.

Had a lovely meal. Chose glasses of house wine rather than a bottle shock was the cheaper option but did not detract from the meal. Steak cooked to perfection and served with lovely bernaise sauce. Had a pianist which added to pleasant relaxing atmosphere. I can't select excellent for service , food below . Very good is all it will allow for some reason

Midden in de voetgangers zone gelegen, gezellig hotel. Wel oubollig. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Heel schoon! Maar kamers aan renovatie toe! De pianist in de bar die honky tonky jodelt moet weg. ER zit nooit iemand in de bar bij de herrie. Erg jammer, is de reden dat we volgend jaar elders gaan logeren

At first glance, you may see a dated restaurant but seeing past this, the food is delicious and so well presented. The staff may need encouragement to serve you or be a little more dynamic but overall, we had a pleasant experience.

Nice place for a quiet dinner. This joint is an old school Austrian restaurant, including all the works. They serve some really nice meaty dishes and have a deep, international wine list to choose from.

När vi var där så hölls det ett cykellopp genom staden. Uteserveringen gav första parkett. Man hade även en specialmeny för evenemanget.

sehr freundlicher Service, Essen schön angerichtet, Preis / Leistung stimmt, wenn wieder Sankt Anton so komme ich wieder!

Es gibt zwar nicht so viele Streak auf der Karte wie der Name vermuten lässt, aber das Essen ist sehr gut
