The Chinese restaurant located in Kambah Pub has greatly improved from its previous iterations, now offering a range of Singaporean, Malaysian, and Thai dishes. In addition to a variety of laksas, the restaurant has updated its decor, menus, and has an open kitchen. While they still have a strong take away trade, dining in is a worthwhile experience. Many patrons appeared to be return customers, indicating good service. The staff is friendly and efficient, and patrons can also access the Pub for additional drink options. This 'hole in the wall ' small Resturant at the rear of the Kambah Tavern is a gem that must be tried. Most of their business is take-away. But with another couple we eat in on many Friday evenings. The food is excellent, with all the standard Chinese dishes plus a good selection of the more exotic. The decor is basic, but the service makes up for this and is excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable. They are licensed but also BYO. When we lived in Kambah we’d regularly purchase take-away from Spring Gardens, having not lived there for four years we returned yesterday for a take-away dinner. We were very disappointed, the salty squid was nothing to what it used to be. The batter was like plaster of paris, and the squid inside was like a rubber tyre! Would NOT recommend this dish. The crispy skin chicken was again almost inedible, being tough and dry, with just a spoonful of sauce on the bottom. The fried rice was also very ordinary. I had indigestion all night. We won’t be returning sadly, possibly it’s better if one eats in. Or perhaps purchase on a night other than Sunday?
Being a fan of laksa, I chose to try the chicken laksa at Spring Garden. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. The flavor was strange and I couldn't even eat it. To their credit, the restaurant quickly replaced it with a beef chow mein without any issue. The laksa was the first dish I had ever been disappointed in at this restaurant, where I am a frequent customer. I would suggest dining here for a budget-friendly meal, but I would caution against ordering the laksa as it may not meet your expectations.

Spring Gardens re-opened under new management on 6 January 2020. Five of us were there for a birthday dinner. We shared entrees and had five different main meals. We were all very happy with our dishes. There were some teething problems with our order but overall, the food was great and we had a very pleasant evening. Takeaway was doing a roaring trade which kept the staff very busy but they were friendly and most keen to look after us. Meals were well priced. We will return for sure.
We haven't eaten at Spring garden before even though it is local to us, .We ordered 2 dishes and fried rice.As the weather was bad we opted for home delivery which was only $3 extra.The meal was delivered within 20 minutes.The meal was very nice Fresh ingredients and good sized serves.I will definately be eating from Spring Garden in the future.
