The Springbrook Diner has undergone an amazing transformation. Five years ago it was a sorry place that shut down. Three years ago, an entrepreneur purchased it thinking that reworking it would be a one-year job. It took three years. Except for its shape, the new facility is unrecognisable from the old. New outside trim and a gutted and completely rebuilt interior. I first came here for breakfast of a western omelette with sausage, home fries and toast plus orange juice and coffee. The food was wonderfully prepared. Special mention should be made of the home fried potatoes which had a delightful hint or herb. We stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning when we were passing through on route to Belleville. We arrived quite early so had no trouble getting a table but it started to fill up when we were in so it would appear to be a popular spot with locals. The service was quick and friendly, the food was cooked to order so was lovely and fresh. The restaurant itself was lovely, clean and airy with a decent amount of space between the tables. The menu had the traditional favourites with a few more contemporary items and a specials board that appeared to change regularly. We would definitely return again for a great value & tasty breakfast or to sample their daytime menu.
My brother was visiting from Pennsylvania. Trying to find someplace to dine in the Campbellford/Stirling area is not that easy for good quality food. Well we were both very pleased with our meal. He had the hot chicken sandwich, with mashed potatoes, gravy and green and wax beans mix. He absolutely loved it. I had the wings. I ordered the honey garlic, but asked if they could make them hot. WOW best wings I have had in ages. I also had the sweet potato fries with the chipolte mayo dip. Very good!! Very simple inside, but spotless. The desserts looked delicious, but we were too full. I can't wait to go back again!
This is a new restaurant, recently opened by new owners after being closed for years. The building has been completely renovated.My wife and I went for dinner on Dec. 18th 2014. We ordered a chicken wing dinner, and the pork souvlaki dinner with rice. My wife enjoyed the chicken wings, but my meal was just okay. The portion of pork was on the skimpy side and not very tender. The rice was good but there was too much of it. I think this was to make up for the lack of the pork pieces.The service was quick and friendly by the staff. :-/
This little gem is your typical family restaurant, all meals are homemade !!! including all their desserts ,Homemade Pies & Buttertarts , they even wash and cut their own fries daily You can`t get any fresher then that , they use vegetables that they grow, local homemade cheese curds for their poutine, and grow their own garlic, If you find yourself in the area of Marmora, or Sterling stop into the Springbrook Diner 10mins from Hwy 7 on #14 . They also have daily specials !! Great Food and Great Service all under one roof :)
My parents and I are regulars at Springbrook Diner.The food is always great and the staff are awesome. I love the different dinner specials that they have and their breakfast specials, especially the Eggs Benny. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get.
