We had lunch celebrating some family birthdays on Monday. The server forgot our drinks and they took forever to come out. After we waited a half hour for our food, the server told us they were out of gluten free bread and asked if we wanted a different order. Why didn't she tell us that when we ordered so we didn't have to wait an additional 20 min for the new orders? She brought out two salads for two people at our table, then brought out the third several minutes later. One of the dishes we asked for it to be without aioli and it came with it, and it turned out she didn't know what aioli was (mayonnaise). Overall a disappointing experience.

A comfy and modern atmosphere with so much natural light. Might have some of the best coffee in Des Moines! The chia and mocha were delicious. The food was delicious with the salmon and eggs having tons of flavor. And the breakfast sandwich had several layers crispy and thick meat.I will frequent St. Kilda for sure. Also some good dairy and gluten free options.

I ordered the crumpets with bacon, eggs, and a coffee. The crumpets were incredible as well as the coffee. But the overeasy eggs and bacon were both terribly overcooked and very lacking compared to the crumpets. I will be back again because of theatmosphere, service and wonderful crumpets, but I hope next time the rest of my breakfast will be up to par.

Went for a birthday lunch with my bestie. We both wanted to try 2 things so we asked for an extra plate to share and they split it for us! It really is the little things! The Brekkie burrito was to die for with fresh chunks of Avocado and thick bacon.. the burger was fresh and so juicy. Ate more fries than intended as they were superb. We will be back!

Spacious area, and polite and friendly staff that posed great suggestions. The hummus appetizer had 'melt in your mouth ' warm pita bread, diner was scrumptious (had the half chicken), and dessert was 'lick the plate ' amazing! Definitely going to goback! Put this place on your 'must visit ' list.

Honestly my favorite restaurant in Des Moines. The food is delicious and always look so appealing. My favorite is the salmon/steak and eggs. They change up the sides based on what’s seasonal. The place has such a nice and classy feel. The coffee tastes great. And the service is always great!

Love this place for breakfast! Definitely a favorite! The staff is always kind and efficient. Been here multiple times and the food is always delicious and fresh. Make sure you try the crumpets and get something from the amazing bakery they have there!Yum!

Such a cool place in Valley Junction. Loved the vibe of this place and it?s a super cool, open place. The staff was all great, good food, good service. Drinks were good, some on a smaller side. Such a great atmosphere. Super cool and clean bathrooms too.

Yum! First of all this building is historic and the renovation is just adorably quaint. The menu isn't huge, but the options are unique. My meal was absolutely delightful! Perfect balance of flavors and quite a lot of food. I can't wait to go back!

The owner of this place is a liar who tries to punk people out of free public parking. As of now, he doesn't pay for parking for his restaurant but makes it out like he does. However, the food and service is decent... but hes still a jerk. 1 star ?
