St. Veronus Cafe And Tap Room

St. Veronus has been on my radar for over a decade and we never seemed to time our Peterborough visits to be able to stop. Glad we finally made it! We shared cheese croquettes (heavenly) which came on a bed of pickles that were nice but I was not in the mood for, and a giant Poutines a la Carbonnades (Not quite what i was expecting but excellent after I adjustment my expectations the dijon addition makes it a bit less gravy like than traditional poutine). Beer list is excellent. It's a bit pricey but given that it's important and contains several rarities that even as a beer geek I have never seen before in Ontario, the prices seem fair. Friendly staff, we enjoyed the cozy patio in the back....

Best moules frites in a long time blue cheese and lardons, wow! Beer suggestion by the waiter was a perfect match. Frites were great, and the other family members' meals were full of flavor and plentiful. Service is pretty awesome and friendly. Dropped by on our way to Toronto, it was definitely worth it! It's been in the community for 20 years and I wish them another 20 years of success and good Belgian beer!

Embarrassed to say first time at st veronas but certainly won't be the last . Sat out on their back patio and while dining was able to listen to great music. Service was excellent by David and the meal was incredible. Steak ans frites ans hubby had the pork belly. Beer selection obviously amazing. Loved the inside decor. Looking forward to next visit. Prices good for quality we enjoyed .

Such an enjoyable meal. I had the Steak frites and my husband had the Mussels. Both were excellent. I ordered a Gin and Tonic and asked the waiter if they had light tonic. They didn't, but he suggested I try half tonic, half soda water that he called a Sonic which I thought was fun. For dessert we enjoyed a Sticky Toffee Pudding. Lovely ambience and good service. I was invited to go to this fantastic restaurant before an evening at Musicfest. The beers were really nice and hard to decide due to the extensive selection. The appetizers were great to share and the main was fresh, flavourful and very filling. All were home cooked and thoroughly delicious and would not hesitate to go back again. Looking forward to it!

Let an old friend for beer and charcuterie this afternoon. The De Koninck ale was lovely and the charcuterie board was delectable. Outstanding, friendly service as well. Highly recommended!

Slowest service ever! Hot-N-ready is suppose to be just that! Not wait 20 minutes! Also order the new stuffed crazy bread and it took ages to get them! If

Love the decor of this place. Had schnitzel and fish and chips between 4 of us. Service was excellent by Shawn and food fast and delicious Will be back . Reserva una mesa ahora

Wouldn't recommend their hot and ready pizzas, but always ask for fresh! Their cheese actually stays on the pizza and they don't skimp on toppings.

Great atmosphere in a wood filled room with lots of windows and character. The waiter was a pro and the food delicious! Best fries in Ontario!
