During my short and lasting visit to Biberach I have been to the city café for a coffee twice and the service was very nice and friendly. So I went back there today. During my previous visits I only sat outside on the terrace. Today I had lunch outside, but I was forced to go after dinner because there were so much pollen and sand flying around in the air. So I sat down and a lady (obediently the owner) came to ask (in German) what I wanted to order. I told her in English that I've already eaten my lunch outside and that I'm just chilling a little inside. She said mmh, okay and left. A little later, I heard that they would get rid of their staff five meters from me in German as what this girl does here without ordering anything! The waitress who served me heard her and told her (again in German) that I had already eaten and therefore I was a paying customer. Lesson Number One: Remember that customers who do not speak German are still _understand_ it. I didn't feel welcome in this restaurant and I never go back to a place where I treated like a piece of garbage. Lesson Number Two: Treat your employees in a nice way, happy employees make more profit and commit more to their jobs. Now it smells like bad, unrespectful management when it comes to personnel and a very unpleasant attitude towards customers. So, especially thanks to the friendly, professional waiter. Too bad I can't come anymore, I really would have wanted to try out all the things in your menu, but I will certainly not carry my money to this owner anymore.
