GREEK FOOD IN ASTORIA, Queens ny @Stamatis.Restaurant @stamatis.restaurant.astoria You wanted to explore more of Astoria while we were in the long island town. This area is known for its Greek community, restaurants and cafes. Super walkable neighborhood and there are two main business roads that we have found After a bit wandering we wanted to have outdoor seats and found Stamatis on the Google map with great reviews. I have to say I felt a little bit of room going into this restaurant when we were the only Asians or even any other than Greek. This place was so legit! The server was really nice and helped us navigate through its huge menu, recommended a few items:

Was this restaurant recommended by a friend and I am here to hand the recommendation to everyone on Google! Really spacious, classic Greek restaurant atmosphere with delicious, family-run dishes. We ordered the Grape Leaves (best I’ve had), Fried Squid, Fried Cheese, Stuffed Cabbage, and a 1.5 lbs Red Snapper. We deleted our plates because it was so good! Although the staff is often busy, their service was friendly and very accommodating. Pita and Dessert are included!

This restaurant was recommended by a local so we planned to have dinner here while visiting Astoria. It became the most memorable dinner of our whole NY trip! Staff is genuine and friendly. The food was just amazing. We loved the atmosphere. We will definitely come back when visiting NY.

Best greek restaurant in North America. Grandma cooked options or the standard Greek fare. Lots of seafood options as well. Mr. Stamati is just the sweetest man!!!

Excellent Greek restaurant. Food was extremely fresh and flavorful. Such a great value- can't wait to go back. One of the best Greek restaurants in NYC.
