I am a local and try to support local business so quite often go and patronise when things aren’t up to scratch. The pies in this shop are generally good. Not great but good but they can also be bad. Last one I bought was tasty but icy cold in the middle. You are always too far away to go back so chalk it up to bad luck. The service used to be good but now is shocking. This morning I asked for two flat whites extra hot. I got a 15 minute wait and a whole lot of lip from the staff. I know how long because I had my phone out. The young girl thought it was okay to tell me to wait outside and then serve everyone one else before making the coffees. I couldn’t believe it but thought I’d be patient...
I have been a regular visitor to Tully Pies shop. The staff is friendly, but the pies are usually lukewarm. The coffee, which is supposed to be a double shot, is also weak and lukewarm. For the price of $11.30, this is not acceptable. However, the Tully Pies Van outside the oval provides complete satisfaction with hot, strong coffee and hot pies. The woman working there provides good customer service and knows how a hot double shot coffee should be made.
I visited Tully Pies on the 30th of April and purchased a cinnamon donut and pack of palmiers. The donut was hard like a rock upon contact with my teeth. So much so that after a bite I was done. The palmiers had no use by date on the pack and certainly tasted stale and quite off to be honest. I have given this palce a few chances but never again will I waste my money here.
I was travelling around and recommended to go a little out of my way by a friend in Cairns to try the pies here. It didn't disappoint one bit. They look great and taste better. Hell worth going to Tully for. There are so many unique flavours to choose from. Even the cakes and what-not looked good, but I was only there for the pies! Reserva una mesa ahora
It's not often that I go to a shop front without the glitz and glamour. However inside this modest shop front is a incredible selection of pies, all of which are handcrafted masterpieces and taste amazing. As well as the pies there's a selection desserts which will just throw you over the edge of delight. amazing well done.
