absolutely the WORST buffet I've ever had in my life. this organization must immediately be closed the city! filthy dirty tables that were not wiped by the previous customer and the hands of all were with the plastic pliers at the buffet! This Christmas dinner experience at a cost of almost $80 per person was a disappointment. We had previously enjoyed dining at the Star Buffet in Canberra, but this experience with our extended family on Christmas day was not the same. The food was unhealthy, lacking flavor, and seemed to have been cooked all together. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Many items on the "Christmas menu" were not available, such as pavlova and roasted potatoes. The half-lobsters were poor quality and the salads consisted only of leaves with no additional toppings. we went yesterday 04/03/2021 to Star Buffet Bankstown RSL. we paid around $33 per head 1- the food is cold 2- prawns is very small and may be 2 weeks old in the fridge, it is smelly. 3- all food is old, i guess it...is about a week old. honestly, there is nothing that you can eat. we have left hungry. it is a biggest rip off ever, Star Buffet Bankstown all you can eat should be shut down by RSL club.
Used to come here for years prior to the relocation and renovation. Some same old friendly staff still there 14 years later! Unfortunately the quality and quantity is not as good since being relocated. Menu not so great at all. Used to be a lot...more variety and choice : where we got value for money.lots of choices gone. Sadly the atmosphere is now as empty as the seats. ;

The recent food they served was extremely unsanitary. They attempted some dim sum, but Chinese roasted pigs were not available on the menu. The portion of prawns was meager. It would be better to avoid going there altogether, as all the dishes were shockingly poor quality.
The restaurant food is not fresh at all. Topping up of the buffet is neglected. Roast was the driest I have ever had. Clearing of plates from the table is neglected. You have to leave your used plates on the nearby empty table for it...to be collected later. Horrible.
A huge selection of foods available, great quality at a very fair price. A very large dining area, yet still crowded due to the amazing value for money....hard to beat for a place to eat - especially if you're real hungry. Well worth a try!
Been there many times until the pandemic. Revisited few weeks ago for lunch. Quality of food was awful and not even fresh. Paid 20 dollars but less selections as before. Staffs serving were rude. Not worth the money.

Pretty decent food for an AYCE, good seafood and desserts. For the price, you really can’t go wrong. The renovations are great too, place looks and feels good.
This buffet in Sydney was awful. I believe they just threw all the food into a pot and cooked it, resulting in a terrible taste. I will not be returning.
