My experience at Starbucks Aberystwyth on Friday, January 12th was not great. I am a regular customer and usually enjoy my time there as it is friendly, relaxed, efficient, clean, and warm and cosy in the winter. However, last Friday was a different story. A staff member I had never seen before was loudly moving chairs and tables around me, creating a disruptive and unpleasant environment. He seemed to be rearranging most of the cafe for no apparent reason, even though everything looked fine when I arrived. After visiting today, a very unhelpful chap cleaning tables approached myself, my wife and our 2 children and asked us not to move the furniture! There were no tables set up for 4 persons so I moved 2 chairs about a metre so we could all sit around a table together, when I asked him what was I meant to do ? Leave the kids on another table ? He pointed to a table behind us that had spaces for 4 but this was occupied when we arrived and was still covered in rubbish! I appreciate that people have to be “covid aware” but this sort of behaviour is madness ! So we gathered our drinks which took about 20 mins to make I might add and left. I believe a rating of 1 is too generous for this coffee shop. I visited at 10:30 in the morning when it had just opened, so it wasn't busy at all. I ordered two coffees, sat down, and was appalled by the dirty and unkempt state of the place. There was garbage everywhere around each table and on the floor, the tables themselves were dirty, and the toilets were in a terrible condition with no toilet paper and a non-functioning flush. This shop urgently needs to close down for a thorough cleaning and overhaul. And to make matters worse, they had no sugar available. How can a coffee shop operate in such a manner?
During my visit to Aberystwyth, I decided to stop by Starbucks for a coffee. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the coffee was possibly the best I have ever had! It was incredibly good. I highly recommend visiting this Starbucks location and be on the lookout for a barista named Kalvin. I noticed his name every time I visited during my stay. I will definitely be returning, even if it's just for a coffee by the seaside. Thank you for the exceptional service.

When questioned why there was a 20p difference in the advertised price and the price asked for be told well thats the price on the till and i have to charge you that. When I told them well your advertising it as that price shouldent you charge that price. To be told again no i have to charge whats on the till. On pressing the complaint as she seemed to think the price differing from the board was natural she eventually said she could let a manager know.
Located at the top of the high street with plenty of COVID 19 spacing. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggy’s. Usual SB food selection and service with a smile from the students. All cups for now are take aways. Toilets available. If this helped please like.
Walking up through Aberystwyth to the castle, stopped off at Starbucks to use the toilets (really need a good clean) and to grab a cafe latte. Standard Starbucks coffee but with added Welsh friendly service.
This is a large Starbucks with a reasonable amount of seating and it felt Covid secure. The staff were great and very helpful. A good place for a break in the centre of town.

Thanks so much to the team for being so great when we knocked a coffee over and replacing it. Great atmosphere and service with a smile even when the shop was busy.
Starbucks always a good coffee and bun stop with this one very good on service, dogs aloud in so thats a bonus.
