However, we had a bit of trouble locating the entrance to the drive-thru since it wasn't clearly marked, leading us to accidentally enter the main parking lot before we figured it out. It appeared that this location only offered drive-thru service and did not allow for in-store ordering. I had a fantastic experience at this Starbucks, thanks to the warm and friendly service. The barista even struck up a conversation with me about my travel coffee thermos while I was ordering my seasonal drink. Getting to this location can be a bit tricky if you’re driving north on PCH, which is why I took away one star. Nevertheless, when you're craving coffee, you'll definitely find a way to get here. They do have a drive-thru option, but I chose to park and take a break from driving. I would give the atmosphere a five because it doesn't have a unique character; it feels more like a typical quick-service Starbucks. I actually appreciate the convenience it offers in the area. Plus, being close to the beach is a nice perk. The prices are also fair for a beachside spot. However, the main drawback is the accessibility; getting in and out can be difficult due to heavy traffic and often long lines, which can be quite frustrating. Overall, while navigating the location can be a bit tricky, it’s just your average Starbucks. I definitely support local businesses, but sometimes you really just need the convenience that Starbucks provides.

I visited the restaurant tonight, but unfortunately, they were closed, with a note on the door from the Dana Point Management indicating they had closed early. It’s not the middle of a pandemic, and I could see at least three employees inside. I find this extremely unprofessional, especially since I work at a bank and can't imagine closing early and turning customers away. While the coffee industry is quite different, the sentiment still holds: if you have employees on-site, you should stick to your posted operating hours to serve your customers. This is not acceptable. Shaking my head.
This is the best Starbucks in the neighborhood! The staff are exceptionally friendly and dedicated to customer service. Savannah, in particular, is wonderful and always makes an effort to ask how my day is going. They all wear bright smiles, which really enhances the experience! I did encounter one issue during my visit, but they resolved it immediately at no cost, taking full responsibility without any complaints. You don’t see that often these days! This is definitely my favorite Starbucks, and I truly appreciate them!
I ordered a venti flat white with four shots, but the staff member handed me a small size by mistake. When I pointed this out, he replaced it with a venti cup, but it was only filled with milk and I could tell there were only three shots in it. After driving over 20 minutes to pick up my coffee, I feel like it was all for nothing. Thank you, Starbucks, for this experience. This happened around 8 PM on January 15, 2024.
I'm a huge fan of pumpkin spice lattes during the holiday season, and this time it exceeded my expectations! It had the perfect balance of whipped cream, spice syrup, and coffee. Great job, Starbucks! A big thanks to all the friendly staff at this location!

This could be the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Why should I pay extra for my drink when there are no seating options or any of the usual coffee shop features?
