Mostly good, some bad. The variety and selection of food is outstanding: I can get the type of meals that used to exist in ordinary restaurants 40 years ago but seem to have all disappeared elsewhere, such as meatloaf, a chili size Harley Burger , patty melts, spaghetti, omelettes, waffles, sides of corn, cottage cheese, and a simple tasty iceberg lettuce salad instead of the front lawn weed and crabgrass salad that most restaurants have today. The worst food and dinning experience I've ever had. Ordered the eggs benedict which came with over cooked eggs and separated sauce (it came later than the other meals ordered at our table . I asked for something simple instead, or so I thought, French dip sandwich. It was worse than the first meal (was I being punished? Dry and flavorless meat and bun. I tried to add salt but it made no difference. I gave up as all I was left with was the tatertots. Wait staff was of little help nor did they seem to want to make things right. Awesome diner! I was craving a turkey dinner, Thanksgiving style. Huge portions, great taste and it came with all the fixin's too! The price was insanely cheap! I had got an open face turkey dinner a day before from... without naming names, I'll just say their mascot is a bear, I'll leave it at that! It was awful and way over-priced! And they forgot my gravy!!!! My waitress was very nice and friendly too, she spaced on my side salad and forgot to bring it before my meal, she felt bad and took it off the bill. This place has such nostalgia and good feelings. I feel as food is hit and miss that’s how it is it most of these old timey diners. Burgers and sandwiches are really good. Dinner is like the lasagna or turkey just depends on the day.. Shakes are always delicious. I sometime feel like the younger kids that serve are a little bit unexperienced. Missing things not paying attention to tables.. However, it is my dad’s favorite restaurant. The senior menu is honestly worth going to for him. Cheapest around. I always return. Fantastic local eatery. My favorite all around place for breakfast. Good coffee, my favorite bacon, gravy, pancakes, ect. Helpful wait staff in a retro, mid 20th century style. Of course they serve lunch and dinner too. PRO TIP: If you like spicy, have an omelet with jalapenos. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars.
Go to spot for a quick meal out. The diner is cute, and it's one of the few places that's still on the lower end of pricing while their food and service are still both superb. I always expect a bit of a wait, but the wait is always worth it. The redneck Benedict is yummy, and definitely grab a milkshake while you're waiting on your meal.
My Bestie and I were traveling and looked up a diner for breakfast. The Stardust was amazing! I had the Redneck Benedict, mini chicken fried steaks on biscuits covered with country gravy. So good! Our server was really nice and took great care of us. There is a jukebox remote at almost every table! Super fun! Highly recommend!
