I am a steak 'n shake lover. I have always loved their burgers, fries, onion rings, and we can 't forget about the shakes! However, this location is a disservice to the franchise. This location is severely understaffed, therefore causing long waits and inattentive service. Today, I sat in the drive-thru for 45 minutes with only 3 cars ahead of me. When I finally got to the window, I peeked inside and only saw one girl handling the drive thru as well as the register in the dining room. Waited in drive thru for more than 20 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of me. Not serving inside so that shouldn?t have been an issue. Got to window given wrong order. Had ordered 3 shakes which were not good . More whipped cream than ice cream. Servertold us her machine was not working good ordered chocolate shake because they had no malt. It was like a vanilla shake. Mygrandsons Kit Kat shake was the same. Will never patronize them again. Tried to call to speak to manager no answer. Poor poorservice and product.
I love this Steak 'n Shake in Mount Prospect! It's open 24 hours, clean, and perfect for a quick burger or satisfying a milkshake craving. I decided to try something different and ordered their footlong hot dog, which was delicious. I requested grilled onions on top, which was the best decision. To wash it down, I enjoyed a Reese's peanut butter cup shake. My husband got the Wisconsin butter burger, which was a good size and a great price.
I am here today at 17.00 a.m. and the drive was closed. the woman inside said they had just opened and the flattop grill did not even begin. that has never happened in my whole life of almost food desires. how can they only open at 17 o'clock? if companies read this, please close this location. they ruin the call of their franchise.

I have been frequenting this Steak 'n Shake for years. In 2020, there were improvements in service and efficiency, which I attributed to the pandemic. However, in 2022, I am still waiting half an hour for just a few milkshakes. I am considering not returning until the owner makes some changes.
We received excellent service at this restaurant, especially from one of the managers named Christi. She is the most professional service manager that I have encountered in years. Thank you for making my family and I feel extremely comfortable with your professionalism and kindness, Christi.
I have visited this restaurant three times between 11 am and 2 pm. There were no cars parked in the parking lot and no cars driving through. I noticed this when I was heading from Buffalo Wild Wings to Jewel on Euclid Avenue. I wonder if the restaurant is even open.
The service was rude and my shake was disgusting. I ordered a butterfinger shake that had NO butterfinger pieces on top, tasted like peppermint and it had a very dirty lid. Which of course I didn't realize until I drank like half of it!!! NEVER AGAIN!!????????

The Steak n Shake back home (south) makes sure they make your food right and are always on point. This one does not, it continually makes food wrong and the inside is disgusting. The health department could probably shut it down if it chose to.
Curbside does not work. The instructions say to call. The phone doesn't work. I left feedback on corporate site with no response after 2 days
