Steamboat Boys Bbq

The service was spotty but the place was full and I could only see one possibly two servers. So I have to cut them some slack since it is so hard to find staff. What I can't get past was the the almost cold food. I wasn't able to tell the server because they were too busy to catch. I had a baked potato as a side and butter didn't melt at all it actually never changed its form. The meat was less than room temp as well. I suspect if the food would have been hot/warm it would have been far better. The flavors were good just cold...

Small portions and high prices for run of the mill barbeque is what Iowa is all about. Hire better cooks and you will not have these issues!!! Iowa people always hire the cheapest cooks available and talk about how hard they work but maybe hire just a few really good cooks! There is a reason why no one comes to Iowa for the food!!!

Driving by you would under estimate this gem of an industrial establishment. Atmosphere is inviting with incredible service. Firecracker Debbie was our Gracious Hostess and Waitress who made our experience a showcase. My over easy eggs were spot on. I would visit again in a heartbeat!

My pulled pork, coleslaw and the corn bread were so good. Their coleslaw has a nice creaminess to it. My husband said his hot chicken was bad though. Rule of thumb for this place may be to stick to traditional BBQ foods when you order.

Has to be the worst bbq in area. Top thT off with horrible service, and you get a customer that will never return. WTH happened to this place?
