I recently stayed at Hotel Stebbins with four friends for two nights to celebrate my birthday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. This hotel is truly unique, and we enjoyed our time there immensely. The staff were incredibly friendly; I even had a lovely chat with the owner this morning, who is such a delightful person. She wished me a happy birthday twice during our stay, which was a lovely touch. The charm of this place is unmatched, making it the best hotel I've ever visited with that classic old-world feel. The food quality did not match the prices or the menu. The fish buffet was just average. I was surprised to see the waitstaff eating from the buffet while customers were still dining. Additionally, the owner brought her dog into the restaurant, which was quite off-putting. To make matters worse, the waitstaff listened in on our table's conversation while cleaning and even joined in, which felt intrusive.

We spent two nights here to celebrate a birthday, and it was a fantastic experience. The building is full of character, and each room features a unique theme (I highly recommend the Bayou Bend room). The staff and the owner were incredibly friendly. This was our second stay, and we will certainly be returning!

What can I say about my experience that would highlight it as much as the staff and owner did? I find it hard to find words that would do my stay justice. It was a fantastic place to stay. The rooms were spacious, allowing for plenty of movement. The food was excellent as well. Additionally, it was conveniently located near the lake and other attractions in Algoma.

Charming little hotel located in the heart of Algoma. It's within walking distance to many attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cute and cozy.
