Sterling Grillades Et Fruits De Mers

This is by far the best restaurant in the Ottawa-Hull-Gatineau area. We've been there a few times already. Last time we went, we showed up around midnight, when everything else was closed. They were about to close, but the hosts let us in, as there were still some guests who weren't done eating. The host offered a sampler plate (not on the menu , which features every type of meat they have. It's the most meat I've ever eaten in my life. The price was pretty good (can't remember the exact cost, but it was not outrageous . This is the best steak you will find in the region. (There was l'Oree du Bois in Chelsea, which was also pretty good, but I heard the owner chef passed away.

I was addressed by a friend to come and experience the sterling eating experience. I was blown away how rustic and yet elegant the premises were. We were greeted by this elegance and given an amazing tour through the restaurant. The staff was friendly and polite, our waitress, Klee, was very attentive to our needs and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The soup of the day was hard, filling and also tasteful. The only thing that corresponds to the quality of the food at Sterling is the embossment between the staff and the diners. If I could experience this embossing a thousand lives again, I would.

We absolutely enjoyed our experience at Sterling. The steaks are phenomenal, and so is the wine selection. But my favourite thing by far was the stellar service provided by Gen! She’s so knowledgeable and helped us through are meat selection and explained every cut thoroughly! Absolutely would recommend and we hope to visit again as soon as possible!
